LABYRINTH

anti-modular manifesto
The main concern of this project is to create independent spaces using the possibilities of architecture for some groups that do not have sufficient choice, university students. That’s why this project rejects the concept of modular architecture and the mediocrity it brings. Therefore, a completely anti-modular structure emerges with 6 different units, all independent of each other.

The region of the project is a district that is in a complete contrast to the purpose of the project. It is an area consisting of many residential houses of the same type, same size and built for the same purpose.Labyrinth differs from Fatih in two main aspects: being anti-modular and being more connected. These units, which are completely different from each other, have a stronger connection with each other thanks to their different social areas.

The project consists of two different basic parts: ground floor and upper floors. The most important difference between the two is permeability. The ground floor is open to the use of other people in addition to the users of the building, students or may be residents of the neighborhood. The upper floor, is reserved for students, thus creating a new urban texture for students on an upper level. Just like Fatih, it consists of independent houses and streets connecting these units.
